gold black hamsa hand box
The hamsa or “evil eye” has been a symbol of good fortune since ancient Mesopotamia. For almost as long, spice merchants in Calcutta and Delhi have used mango wood boxes to store aromatic goods (think: bright piles of turmeric). This beautiful handmade box combines both histories. How you use it is entirely up to you, whether it’s a place to keep jewelry, a collection of incense, or other little treasures. Each piece is crafted in north central India by a group of artisans using traditional carving techniques. It makes an inspiring, worldly gift for friends who love to travel, or someone you want to wish good luck in a new phase of life. Handmade in India.
